Secrets To Singing and Life Success … The DIP
ATTENTION SINGERS…
There is a time to quit and a time not to quit.
And what is ‘The Dip’??
.
Just working hard at something will not bring us success. We need to know exactly when to quit our current strategy and apply our efforts on a different strategy or path that will win.
.
In my life I’ve spend 10 years ( plan A ) working on my voice in a certain way to achieve marginal changes. I’ve also invested 3 months ( plan B )approaching it differently and grown 100 times as much as I did in the previous 10 years.
.
This happens all the time to Singers, but many don’t ever get to plan B. Because they don’t know when to quit.
.
You need to know when to quit plan A to get to plan B.
.
Perhaps this has happened to you …Somewhere in your own life?
.
Now imagine this scenario:
.
You’re now on Plan B, and a month into it. For the first month you’re getting enormous changes and great feedback from friends and family. Then month two comes along and you experience ‘a dip’…. you’re not getting the same rate of changes as you did in month 1.
.
Should you quit? Or should you ‘lean in’ and break through?
.
How would you know? Most Singers quit in month two when they shouldn’t.
.
Because if they had just continued on and worked with even more focus they would have gone where few Singers have ever gone…. to a whole new level of Vocal Freedom.
.
When to quit and when not to. Would you know?
.
I believe that YOU need to read this book:
.
The Dip ( A Little Book That Teaches You When To Quit and When To Stick )
by Seth Godin
.
If you’re like most people there are projects you are working on right now that you need to quit.
And there are others you need to begin. For your music, your singing voice and most importantly your life.
.
This book will help you learn when to quit and when not to.
It will explain what the Dip is.
.
I’ll see you on the other side.
.
.
Your mission this week ( if you accept it ) is in two parts:
..
1) Immediately order the book ‘The Dip’
2) Take a look at what is an essential part of your singing learning process… that one thing that if you did it you would step ahead of those who ‘wish they could’ but didn’t.
BONUS: Go do something you love to do that normally you wouldn’t…something that makes that little voice in you go ‘oh yeah”.
..
HAVE FUN and keep singing,
Paul
