Q. Is it ever too late to learn to play an instrument?A. The myth that children are the only ones who can learn effectively is completely untrue. Each year hundreds of thousands of adults of ALL ages learn to play musical instruments.
Adults have some learning advantages over children that include ability to focus, life experience etc that enable them in many cases to learn faster that children. I can say this based on experience.
The key is to have a teacher who is skilled at teaching you in the ways that you learn best. No one learning strategy is for everyone.

A. Beginners are very welome! It is ALWAYS a great time to learn music or a new instrument. Music lessons with the right teacher are a lot of FUN and are very enriching.

A. Adults studying with Paul have a great advantage: they enjoy learning any combination of musical styles from traditional Classical all the way to Jazz to Popular and Folk. While most students choose to stick with one genre many enjoy a diverse combination and are free to transition at any time.
Discovering new musical styles is a lot of FUN and a great growth opportunity that can nourish the student in many ways!

Each student is different. Classical approach for some.
Jazz theory and application for others. Others wish to learn Pop
or folk. Some wish to learn to read while some play by ear.
Students are able to learn what they desire to learn the most due
to Paul's remarkably diverse background and expertise.

A. Students can learn to play almost any instrument. The most common instruments are Piano and Guitar. Many also learn Violin, Trumpet, Clarinet etc. Paul probably teaches your favourite nstrument himself but if he doesn't he can likely point you to a teacher who does. Paul Gasztold started teaching music 20 years ago and studied
Classical Teacher Training top teachers at the Toronto Royal
Conservatory. An Honours Degree in Music ( Jazz Piano ) followed
in addition to several years as an Adult Corporate Trainer designing
learning strategies for teens and adults. Much of Paul's
expertise comes from teaching hundreds of students over the years.
Paul is currently a full time Teacher and Music Composer currently producing and recording an album each year.
